How much does a chauffeur cost in Amsterdam?

Prices for 2026, per vehicle and including VAT

Updated 30 October 2026 · Limousine Service Amsterdam

A private chauffeur in Amsterdam costs from €125 to €260 for a transfer from Schiphol to the city centre, depending on the vehicle, and from €90 to €140 per hour for hourly hire with a 3-hour minimum. These are our own fixed prices for 2026, per vehicle, with 9% VAT, fuel and parking included. Below is what you pay for the common trips, and what makes a quote go up or down.

Schiphol transfer prices

The airport run is the trip most people book. The price is fixed when you book and does not change with traffic or flight delays.

One-way, per vehicle, incl. VAT
RouteS-Class (1–3)V-Class (1–7)Sprinter (8–16)
Schiphol → Zuidas€115€105€230
Schiphol → city centre€135€125€260
Schiphol → The Hague€215€190€350
Schiphol → Rotterdam€260€235€400

Hourly hire

For meetings, roadshows, weddings and evenings out you book the car and chauffeur by the hour. The car waits between stops and the waiting time is part of the hours.

Hourly rates incl. VAT
VehiclePer hourMinimumMinimum booking
Mercedes S-Class€953 hours€285
Mercedes V-Class€903 hours€270
Mercedes Sprinter€1403 hours€420

A full 8-hour day in an S-Class comes to €760. For long days outside Amsterdam we often quote a day rate instead, which is cheaper than counting hours.

What is included in the price

  • The chauffeur and the vehicle
  • Fuel and Dutch motorway use
  • Parking at Schiphol and 60 minutes of free waiting after landing
  • 15 minutes of free waiting at hotels and other addresses
  • Child seats on request
  • 9% Dutch VAT on passenger transport

There is no night surcharge and no weekend surcharge.

What changes the price

  • The vehicle. An S-Class costs more than a V-Class on the same route, even though the V-Class is bigger. You pay for the car class, not the seats.
  • Extra waiting. After the free waiting time we charge €25 per started 15 minutes.
  • Extra stops. A stop on the way to pick up a colleague is usually a small supplement. Tell us when you book.
  • Distance outside the Netherlands. Trips to Belgium or Germany include the chauffeur's return drive, so a one-way trip to Brussels costs more than half a return.

Chauffeur, taxi or ride-hailing: the cost difference

For one person with a small bag, a taxi from the Schiphol rank or a ride-hailing app is cheaper than a chauffeured S-Class. The difference shrinks when you are a group: a V-Class at €125 for six people is about €21 per person. A full comparison is in chauffeur, taxi or Uber in Amsterdam.
