Why people take a car instead of the train

There is a direct train from Amsterdam to Brussels, and it is fast from station to station. The time goes on the parts around it: getting to Centraal with luggage, the walk at the other end, a taxi in Brussels to an office on the Avenue Louise. With four people, suitcases or a tight schedule, a car from door to door is often quicker in total. And it costs the same whether one or seven people are in a V-Class.

The route to Antwerp and Brussels runs south over the A2 or A4 past Utrecht or Rotterdam, then across the Belgian border at Breda. Antwerp is 160 km away, about 120–140 min. Brussels is 210 km, about 150–170 min. Rush hour around Antwerp's Ring can add half an hour, so for meetings we plan the departure around it.

For Düsseldorf, Cologne and Paris we quote per trip, because the price depends on whether you need the car to wait, to stay overnight or to drive back empty. Send the date and addresses and you get a fixed price back.
